About Jared

Pastor, theologian, and speculative storyteller.

Jared Mathison is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene with a lifelong passion for theology, the life of the Church, and the mission of God in the world.

Born in Indiana, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and a Master of Arts in Ministry and Ecclesiology. His ministry experience spans education, military, hospital, and correctional chaplaincy, along with years of pastoral leadership and church planting.

Jared and his wife planted a church they now joyfully pastor together. When he is not preaching, teaching, or shepherding his congregation, he writes speculative fiction exploring faith, power, and redemption.
